Vacancy Full Description : Your duties will include but not be limited to
• mail handling,
• diary management,
• making/receiving telephone calls,
• talking to parents and other visitors,
• administration support for colleagues.
• receiving and processing monies eg for school dinners/trips etc
• administering first aid
• you will be inputting data onto bespoke software systems

Working Week : 37hours p.w. over 40 weeks, typically 8.30 – 4.00 per day, M-F Term Time

Personal Qualities : You will need to be able to work at times independently in a fast paced office environment. You will need to be able to prioritise your workload as well at the same time be flexible in your work appreciating that priorities can change very quickly. You will need to be presentable in your appearance. You need to understand the importance of equality, diversity, confidentiality and safeguarding, though this will be covered in your qualification.
Skills Required : You will have a minimum of Grade C or 4 and above In GCSE Maths English and ideally IT.
You will understand the importance of good customer service, confidentiality and communication skills as at times you will be customer facing.
Future Prospects : The long term prospects for the right candidate are excellent with a full time position and further training and development available.

College Attendance: No College Attendance
Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. There may be the occasional need to attend either the Otley or Easton campus for short training courses and tests.
Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour with effect from 1st April 2018. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in the industry with a contract of employment
Working Week: 37hours p.w. over 40 weeks, typically 8.30 – 4.00 per day, Monday to Friday (although 2 afternoons per week will be study release time). This must be worked during school term dates including non-pupil days (5 days) plus one other week split over the school holidays (e.g. Easter / Summer break). PAY: £155.36 per week for 40 weeks (but please note that this is paid each month over 12 months in order to ensure you are paid over the school holidays).
