Vacancy Short Description : You will be working within a small dynamic company repairing and refurbishing all types of professional groundcare machinery, in a fully equipped workshop facility.
Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to establish course suitability. Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grades A-C or 9-4.
Vacancy Full Description : The role will involve all aspects of professional groundcare repair and maintenance. These will include dismantling and sharpening cutting units, service and repair of petrol and diesel engines. Hydraulic and electrical fault finding, welding fabrication and machining.
You will be required to work in a clean and tidy manner with a common sense, logical approach to problems.

Salary : £200.00 Per Week

Training to be Provided : College Attendance: Block Weeks
Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. There may be the occasional need to attend either the Otley or Easton campus for short training courses and tests.
Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour with effect from 1st April 2018. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in the industry with a contract of employment
Working Week: Monday to Friday 40 hrs.
2 x 15 min paid breaks, 1 x 30 min unpaid lunch break.
£5.00 per hour
There is an option on start and finish time to make 40hrs per week.
