Vacancy Full Description : Progreen are looking or a hardworking enthusiastic person to join their Technical Sales Team. Largely telephone based you will be trained within your role and have guidance and support from our BASIS qualified team members. The position would be suitable for someone with an interest or practical experience in gardening, lawn care, landscaping or horticulture wanting to gain their first experiences in the industry.
The ideal candidate will work within a team of Technical Sales Advisors. They will be involved
- Offering technical advice and support to a wide range of customers – landscapers, nurseries, grounds maintenance & avid gardeners
- Establishing and maintaining a database of customers - following up sales enquiries
- Processing incoming enquiries, via telephone and email
- Processing web orders
- Providing quotations and product recommendations to customers
- Offering support when needed to the Operations & Packing Teams

Working Week : 37.5 hrs Mondays – Friday 8.30 – 5.00 pm
Salary : £221.25 Per Week

Personal Qualities : We require the ideal candidate to be flexible in their approach to work. They will need to have the ability to work accurately and at pace, whilst still continuing to have a strong attention to detail and excellent customer service.

Training to be Provided : Qualification: Level 2 apprenticeship in Business Administration
College Attendance: NONE
Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. There may be the occasional need to attend either the Otley or Easton campus for short training courses and tests.
Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.70 per hour with effect from 1st April 2018. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus time spent in training. Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in the industry with a contract of employment
