Vacancy Short Description : Howards Estate Agents are looking for a professional and pro-active
Apprentice to join their Long Stratton team. We are looking for somebody
who is interested in progressing on to a sales roles and who wants to be part
of a successful team.

 

Qualifications Required : Entry onto the apprenticeship is subject to a thorough initial assessment to
establish course suitability. Applicants should have at least 4 GCSEs
including English and Maths at grades A-C or 9- 4.
Vacancy Full Description : The role will include aspects of sales and lettings and will involve providing
the highest level of customer service to clients both on the phone and
electronically as well as providing business support to colleagues. Main
duties will include:
• Greeting clients to the office
• Dealing with clients and landlords by phone and email
• Receiving calls and ensuring that messages are passed on
• Generating property particulars
• Assisting with marketing duties
• Registering new clients
• Other duties as required
Number of Positions Available : 1
Working Week : 39.66 h M– Fr 0900 – 1730 1 hr unpaid lunch . Every third Sat .09– 1600
Salary : £138.81 Per Week

Personal Qualities : Howards are looking for somebody with enthusiasm and a desire to develop
within the business.
You will need to be motivated, reliable and punctual. You will need to be able
to adapt to change and be a good team player.
Skills Required : Excellent communication skills and ability to multi-task.
Clean driving license and own car desirable.
Future Prospects : The business is looking for somebody who is interested in progressing on to
a sales roles and who wants to be part of a successful team.
Training to be Provided : College Attendance: No regular attendance
Training for all job specific tasks will be given. In addition the apprentice will
have the support and guidance of a qualified assessor from the college, who
will make on-site visits every 6-8 weeks. There may be the occasional need
to attend either the Otley or Easton campus for short training courses and
tests.
Other Information : Pay Rates: The current NMW rate for Apprentices is £3.50 per hour with
effect from 1st April 2017. This applies to 16-18 year old Apprentices and
those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other
Apprentices the Apprentice National Minimum wage appropriate to their age
applies. The wage for Apprentices applies to both time spent on the job plus

Apprentices need to be employed for a minimum of 30 hours per week in the
industry with a contract of employment

Working Week: Monday – Friday 0900 – 1730 with 1 hour unpaid lunch break. Every third Saturday 0900 – 1600 with half an hour unpaid lunch.
